Dual Restroom Requirement (Wall Latch Plaque + 12" Door Geometric Symbol)
Under CBC §11B-703.7.2.6, California restrooms require TWO signs: (1) a latch-side wall tactile and Grade 2 Braille plaque, PLUS (2) a 1/4-inch thick contrasting 12-inch geometric door symbol centered on the door at 58 to 60 inches AFF (equilateral triangle for Men, 12-inch circle for Women, triangle superimposed on circle for All-Gender).
California Braille Cell Spacing (CBC §11B-703.3)
California enforces strict 0.100-inch center-to-center dot spacing within cells and 0.300-inch horizontal spacing between adjacent cell centers, which falls cleanly inside the narrower overlap window of both Federal and California code.
